How this has moved

Every reading is kept. A number here is only true for the day we took it. So we leave the older readings on the page instead of replacing them. This is the first reading of the season.

Methodology

Source

Live availability of the chalets and apartments listed on courchevel.rentals. We read it from our own booking index.

What counts as the denominator

Each week counts only the properties that have a calendar for that week. When a property has no calendar, we do not know if it is free or booked. So we leave it out of that week.

Coverage

Between 240 and 245 of 245 properties in every published week.

Weeks

Saturday to Saturday. That is the standard rental week in Courchevel.

What is left out

We do not publish a week measured on less than half the catalogue. A missing week is better than a rate taken from a handful of properties.

Known limitation

This is our own catalogue, not the whole resort. It is a reading on one date. It does not say what will be free later.

Updated

Every month of the season. Every figure carries the date we read it.
