Shopping here is not simply buying things. Ski-in/ski-out access applies to the Moncler store as much as to the restaurants.
Can you walk to the shops from your chalet?
Yes. From the quarters of Courchevel 1850 you can walk down to the Croisette. There is no problem. It works from Nogentil, from Bellecôte, from Jardin Alpin.
Sonny: You can even do it on the snowy piste. And you can walk back up too.
I had families who liked to leave the chalet on foot, do the shops, and have lunch in the centre. At the end of the afternoon they called me, and I sent a driver to bring them back up. Like this, the way down is a walk and the way up is a car.
I will be honest with you about the lower levels. If you stay in Courchevel 1650, you need a driver to come up to 1850. You do not walk it.
What it means for the place you pick. If the shops are a real part of your week, stay in 1850. Inside 1850, the quarter decides only one thing: how long the walk back up is. If nobody in your group wants to walk up with bags, take the centre, or tell me and I will plan the driver.

Yes, I have clients who buy watches and furs in Courchevel. There is no problem.
Sonny: The delivery is done by the shop. Once you have bought, you give them the address of the chalet. They send a driver with an agent, and your parcel is received at the chalet.
So you do not walk through the village with it, and you do not ski with it.

The Ski Wear Addresses That Actually Matter
Before the luxury boutiques, there are the ski shops. And in Courchevel, the ski shops are in a category of their own.
Bernard Orcel is the first call. We have a partnership with them: our guests get a 10% discount on selected premium lines, confirmed for winter 2026-27. The full store is worth a proper visit, not a quick browse. It is still true for winter 2026-27. I checked it in September 2026.
L'Atelier is well known in the resort for its selection of ski suits. If you are looking for quality ski wear in a dedicated environment, it is worth the visit.
Jean Blanc Sports has been in the village since the resort was built. That longevity means something. The staff know every generation of regular clients, the stock is consistently well chosen, and going there feels like part of what Courchevel is supposed to be.
The Insider Move: Private Shopping Experiences
Several of the luxury boutiques in Courchevel, Hermès and Dior among them, can arrange private shopping sessions with a tea service. A dedicated member of staff, a selection of pieces brought out specifically for you, a table with a small spread, and no other customers in the room. It is a completely different experience from walking into the shop during après-ski.
The catch: it needs to be arranged in advance, through someone who has the right contact. A concierge who knows the boutique managers directly. It is not something you can request at the door on the day. This is one of the reasons a local concierge makes a real difference in Courchevel.
Sonny: We have already done it at Dior for a client. The shop was closed for her after hours, with tea and chocolates.
If you like, we can also do it the other way. We can set up a small showroom at your chalet for a few hours, and the pieces come to you.
You cannot ask for this at the door on the day. Ask me before you arrive.

Where to stay if you come for the shops as much as for the ski
Sonny: It all depends on the budget. If you really want to be close to the shops and to start skiing from the centre, the centre is perfect.
Higher up in the resort you are a little bit further, but everything can still be done on foot. There are the free shuttles, and there are the drivers. In general there is no problem.
So I will not tell you that a beautiful chalet at the top is a mistake. It is not. You walk down, and for the way back you have the shuttle, a driver, or your legs.
What it means for the place you pick. Centre: shops at the door and ski start from the centre, and you pay for it. Higher: a way back to plan. Below are the places closest to the Croisette, with the real distance for each.

The boutiques are at their busiest over the festive weeks, when the village is full and the windows are at their best. If that is when you plan to come, start with the chalets available for Christmas week or the New Year selection. Groups who want staff should look at the VIP chalets instead, with a chef and a butler listed on every VIP chalet file, and a chauffeur on most of them.
