Chalet Rental in Courchevel: What You Need to Know

Courchevel sits at the heart of the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world at 600km of marked pistes. The resort is split across four villages: Courchevel 1850 (the main resort, highest altitude), Courchevel Moriond (1650), Courchevel Village (1550), and Le Praz (1300). All four connect to the same ski area. The price difference between staying in 1850 and staying in Le Praz is large, for identical ski access: On our own catalogue on 25 September 2026, taking each property's median winter week and holding the service standard equal, a Prestige chalet in Le Praz ran 59% below the same standard in Courchevel 1850 (7 properties against 5), and an Essential self-catered apartment 26% below (12 against 24).

Chalet rentals in Courchevel are priced by the week. Most chalets are rented from Saturday to Saturday, although some properties follow a Sunday-to-Sunday schedule. Available arrival and departure dates depend on the individual property. The season runs from 4 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. Peak weeks run 38-43% at Christmas and in the week of 6 February (French Zone C holidays), and 75-79% at New Year and in the February peak week of 13 February, measured against a normal January week on the same properties, and they book out months in advance.

Our portfolio covers all four villages and all budget ranges: self-catered studios from €1,050/week to chalets with private chef, butler and spa. The highest weekly price recorded in our catalogue snapshot on 25 September 2026 was €298,000, for the week starting 27 December 2026. Every property on this site is shown at its published price, with no agency markup, and its rental contract is signed directly with the agency or property owner named on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a chalet rental cost in Courchevel?

Prices start at €1,050/week for a studio apartment. The highest weekly price recorded in our catalogue snapshot on 25 September 2026 was €298,000, for the week starting 27 December 2026. For a chalet with meal service: A chalet with meal service starts at €8,500 a week, on our own catalogue read on 14 September 2026, taking the cheapest winter week of each of the 36 catered chalets we list; in Courchevel 1850 the same measure starts at €30,000.

What is included in a catered chalet rental?

It depends on the service level. Prestige brings breakfast service, prepared on site or delivered depending on the property, with daily housekeeping. Excellence, the top level, is half board: breakfast, tea-time and lunch or dinner, with a private chef listed on every property file and the rest of the staff shown property by property. Groceries and ingredients are not listed as included on the property file. Ask Sonny to confirm the food-cost arrangement for the property. Drinks, ski passes and lift tickets are typically charged separately.

When should I book a Courchevel chalet?

We do not publish a booking window. Christmas, New Year and February half-term go first, the rest of the season does not, and the honest answer depends on the week and the size of the party. Tell us the week and we will say what is still open.
