The ESF — École du Ski Français
The ESF, or French Ski School, is the institution that most people think of first when it comes to ski lessons in France, and Courchevel is one of its flagship bases. Founded in 1947, the ESF has been teaching generations of skiers on these slopes for nearly eight decades.

Between them, they employ over 600 certified instructors. The ESF offers group lessons and private lessons for all ages and all ability levels, from the very first turns on the nursery slopes to advanced off-piste guiding in the Three Valleys.
Children's Programmes
For the youngest children, the Club Piou Piou programme provides a playful and structured introduction to snow from as young as 18 months old, in a dedicated children's village area of around three hectares. Older children progress through structured badge programmes culminating in timed slalom tests known as the Fléchette and Chamois.
