How to read this table
- → "Available to book today" counts the properties our catalogue can still book for that Saturday-to-Saturday week, with a published price, read on 28 October 2026. A property missing from it is unavailable for a reason the data does not give: it is not a count of bookings. Even the normal January week our index compares against had 123 of 253 properties available when the index was measured.
- → "Lowest price published" is the lowest weekly price among the properties still available that week: a minimum, never an average.
- → The premium compares the same properties with the week of 9 January; the index was collected on 27 September 2026. It is the only figure on this page that compares prices between weeks; the method is on the price index page.
Which February week is the tightest?
The week of 13 February (February peak) has the least current availability: 82 of the 267 properties we list. It also carries the highest premium in our price index (+75%).
Neither figure says how full the resort is. The first counts what our catalogue can still book; the second compares prices on the same properties.

February with young children
For families with young children, Sonny generally starts the search in Courchevel 1850, including its Nogentil and Cospillot areas, then checks the exact walking, ski-school and transport trade-offs property by property. See Courchevel 1850, Nogentil and Cospillot.
Childcare and ski school differ from one village to the next: see kindergartens and nurseries, village by village, the ESF Piou-Piou garderie and how to book ski lessons. For a larger family, family chalets lists the properties with four bedrooms or more and room for eight guests or more.
How far ahead to book a February chalet
In Sonny's experience, once real market occupancy moves beyond roughly 60%, many of the strongest properties have already gone. That is a working rule from the field, not a figure we measure: our live data shows which properties are still available to book, not how many are booked.
In Sonny's experience, restaurant availability usually tightens first, followed by ski instructors and then private drivers.
For clients with completely flexible dates, Sonny's preferred value and service compromise is usually the third week of January: festive-season pricing has eased, the staff are still fully motivated, and service levels remain high.
For a normal weekly chalet or apartment rental, Sonny recommends keeping the Saturday changeover. If travel dates do not align, an extra hotel night is usually a cleaner solution than forcing an off-pattern rental arrival.
